Charline Bou Mansour will join the CNN Creators line-up as a Senior Journalist this week, as the show returns to its base in Doha.

Bou Mansour joins CNN from Sky News, where she was a digital video reporter. A specialist in digital storytelling, explainers, and in-depth reporting – ranging from cultural, social and geopolitical issues across the Middle East and beyond – she will be based in Doha, and become a permanent member of the CNN Creators on-air team.

Meara Erdozain, SVP, International Programming at CNN, said: “Charline has an outstanding portfolio of sharp, compelling, compassionate storytelling. She also has a range of field-proven multimedia skills that make her an extremely versatile addition to our already talented team in Doha. We’re excited to welcome her to CNN.”

In her previous role at Sky News, Bou Mansour created content for both TV and digital platforms. She was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for her documentary on endometriosis, which shed light on a condition affecting millions yet often overlooked. She was also nominated for a Future of Media Award for her investigation into the fertility crisis, praised for its rigour, sensitivity and strong audience engagement.

Among high profile stories she has worked on, Bou Mansour shot a documentary on Yazidi refugee girls in Iraqi Kurdistan, who rebuilt their lives after the 2014 ISIS genocide with the help of boxing, art and music classes. She reported from Ukraine-Poland border, documenting the experiences of families fleeing the war in Ukraine; and travelled to Lebanon to cover the aftermath of the 2020 Beirut port blast and the impact of brain drain on the country.

A fluent Arabic speaker, with Lebanese roots, Bou Mansour’s career began in community radio in London before working for Global Radio. She holds a master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from Westminster University.
