Regional agencies have only a couple of weeks left to enter this year’s Cannes Chimera Challenge.
The deadline for this year’s initiative is 30 September, with agencies asked to come up with a communications idea that will facilitate the global fight against extreme poverty.
Cannes Chimera is Cannes Lions’ joint initiative with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It seeks to utilise the creative communications industry’s creativity and problem-solving abilities to do good on a global scale.
This year’s brief is ‘Lead the fight against extreme poverty’ and was launched at Cannes in June. The people behind up to 10 of the best ideas will be flown to Seattle to work closely with the 2013 Cannes Chimera, will receive a trophy on stage at next year’s Cannes Lions festival, and have the opportunity to get $1 million to make their ideas a reality.
