Y&R Dubai shines at inaugural Campaign Creative Night event

Campaign Middle East has held its first event in the Campaign Creative Nights series. The event, which took place at The Dek on 8 at the Media One Hotel, was attended by creatives from across the industry, with eight agencies participating in an informal and lighthearted competition.

JWT, Leo Burnett, Lowe MENA, Impact BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Y&R, TBWA\Raad and robotandspark were all asked to create one letter of the Campaign logo in their own style (see front cover), with Y&R Dubai chosen as the winner by a team of judges that included Alaa Obeid, head of digital marketing and media at Samsung, the event’s sponsor.

The idea behind the nights is to provide an opportunity for the advertising industry’s professionals to get together socially, network and enjoy a spot of creativity. As the winner, Y&R Dubai will provide a three-month internship to an underprivileged student in order to give them exposure to the advertising industry.

The next Campaign Creative Night is scheduled to take place in the third quarter.
