Mindshare appoints Faris Sibai as chief growth officer MENA

Mindshare has announced the appointment of Faris Sibai to the newly-created role of chief growth officer MENA, reporting to Lamiya Boumlaki, Mindshare MENA CEO, and Cormac Loughran, Mindshare EMEA chief growth officer.

His appointment will aim to support new CEO Lamiya Boumlaki’s strategic vision for growth based on deeper client relationships, scaling existing products and developing new forward-looking services in an accelerating digital economy.

Sibai brings with him a proven track record of transforming organisations and leading high-performance teams delivering top-to-bottom P&L improvements and commercial success with 20 years of significant experience gained across 3 continents, spending time in the EU, MENA & APAC. He began his career as an analyst with CitiGroup, before moving to senior roles at Publicis, IPG, and most recently as partner at Mindshare.

Sibai, by leveraging WPP, GroupM, and Mindshare talent, technology, and assets, will be able to pull together compelling and competitive performance marketing stories for prospects, and create new opportunities for Good Growth, playing an instrumental role in shaping Mindshare MENA’s future trajectory.

Lamiya Boumlaki said: “Brands needs evolve continuously and rapidly, and agencies have to keep pace not just to survive but thrive and ensure better client and agency outcomes. Delivering product-people-partner transformation is part of our strategy to do that, including leading in strategic, one-stop thinking and solutions and creating customised services across the region.”

Sibai’s appointment is the first in a series of changes that will propel Mindshare’s new integrated vision and capabilities and drive growth for the agency’s current and new clients, the agency’s recently appointed CEO added.

Cormac Loughran said. “Faris’s appointment underlines the importance of MENA in our overall growth goals.  I look forward to working closely with Faris as we continue to build our business in the region”

Faris Sibai said “Right now, clients are looking for partners who can help them achieve long-term sustainable good growth in an exceptionally challenging environment. Mindshare is thinking so progressively about how to transform clients’ business and is building a team with the diverse skillset to make that happen. I’m excited to step into this newly created role, working alongside Lamiya who is not afraid of doing things differently and with a relentless focus on the future.”
