First joining POP Communications as an intern in 2021, Edward’s inherent drive to learn, and evolve has fostered his professional growth in an industry that is constantly adapting and presented with challenges. More than a member of the team, Edward is considered one of POP’s valued assets.
Career highlights
While attending Middlesex University Dubai, I was a finalist in Odgers Berndston’s ‘CEOx1Day’ program and had the privilege of shadowing the former CEO of Alabbar Enterprises – F&B, Design, and Retail.
After graduating at the top of my International Business program, I soon joined POP Communications as an intern and progressed into a Senior Communications Executive working across the firm’s diverse client portfolio. I also received the UAE Golden Residency for my academic efforts.
I’ve been able to work across areas such as brand-building positioning, targeted media relations, and engaging social media content which supports building a comprehensive industry knowledge base.
Guiding principles
The key is to strive for progress, not perfection. This keeps me going. Every perceived failure is an opportunity to grow, take a challenge head-on, and further evolve. Investing in work is a professional and personal reflection and with that, I treat a client’s business as if it was my own.
Side hustle
I like trying different cuisines and have an interest in videography and video editing, so that would help to start a food blog or some sort of side hustle. Adding on, I played volleyball for my school and university teams and still like to get in a game when I can.
