Career highlights
If you ask me about the professional achievements I’m proud of, I’d say: creating stories, every single day, that inspire or teach someone something about themselves or the world. If you want specifics, I’d tell you about the Silver MEPRA award we won last year for Virgin Mobile UAE, or how I was elected to be part of my company’s first Employee Experience Committee. I’d tell you about the first company-wide weekly crisis report I helped put together during the October war in Palestine—something that went beyond just me and had a measurable impact. That, to me, is professional achievement.
And also making it onto Communicate’s 30 Under 30 list this year.
Guiding principles
I try to make love the guiding principle in my life. It’s true what they say about love conquering all. When you lead with it, it trickles into every part of your life, shaping not just your own experiences but those of the people around you. I carry that with me in everything I do, and I think we need to talk more about its importance not just in our personal lives, but even in the workplace and every space we move through.
Side hustle
I’ve always loved writing as a form of self-expression and discovery. I have a blog called Brains and Bikinis, my own little safe space where I can share my poetry, opinions, and random thoughts without anyone else’s agenda shaping them. I like to think I’m building a community of empowered women and open-minded people who want to have conversations, serious and unserious, without judgment. The name Brains and Bikinis is meant to capture the full range of topics people could and should be able to explore freely.
