Since joining us, Khalil has seamlessly transitioned from a media planning background to excelling in campaign management across all digital media platforms. Career highlights:
I delved into advertising as a project for my master’s in business data analytics, where I led an experiment to correlate ad elements to success with different audiences as well as quantify the duration that a creative should run for before creative fatigue sets in. After a year in advertising, I moved to KSA, where I worked for 3 years as a planner, learning the ins and outs from that perspective. To continue to challenge myself, I moved to Dubai to switch to a Performance role to expand my skillset and find more ways to apply data analytics within this field.
Guiding principles:
Automation is for efficiency, data is for accuracy and discovery, and the human element is for effective implementation and use of the other two. Learn the context and understand the field; otherwise, the data will be misinterpreted and your insights misguided. Application is the best teacher.
Side hustle:
Developing a game as the game industry is a landscape that I am familiar with and believe I can deliver something successful. I had started with learning unreal engine and C++ before shifting to Gamemaker as found it to be more suitable for the game I am working on.
