Age: 26
Nikita Airan, Radix: With the right attitude and great sense of humour, Zak has become an integral part of the team in a short span of time. His insights on the digital behaviour of Arab audiences, especially Gen Z, have been very helpful across the floor. He understands the clients’ campaigns as well as business needs which has helped him achieve set KPIs and gain client confidence. He certainly has a great future in our industry.
Career highlights
My position at Radix Media is my first permanent agency job. However, I went through several experiences from internships in PR, retail marketing and FMCG (Nivea Men). I was always keen to work in an agency and get my hands dirty with experience across various verticals and follow my passion of digital marketing. Joining Radix has broadened my horizons on what communication entails and has introduced me to various facets of media and content including giving me the opportunity to drive internal projects and agency reports to our clients. I am passionate, driven and here to stay.
Guiding principles
My past experiences and life in general taught me to always keep growing my hunger for learning and success.
Dream job
My dream job or career goal is to become a head of marketing for a sports brand in Africa. The reason why I am choosing Africa is because of my own roots (Morocco) but also because in terms of marketing and communication I feel that this is a region that still has a lot to give and I could contribute to in developing and taking this forward someday.
Side hustle
Back in Morocco I started an online pet shop with a friend of mine. We both shared a passion: dog breeding and training. However, due to the circumstances and the fact that I wanted to go further in my education, I had to leave that dream for some time. I am convinced that when the right time comes, I will get back to this project with a lot more experience.
