Sophia is currently holding the Digital Executive role at GMG. In her role, she is actively involved in day-to-day communications, strategies’ implementation, and ensuring that all campaigns are executed at the highest standards. She is also key in ensuring that there are seamless synergies across all digital platforms and external communications channels. Sophia’s ability to foster strong relationships and her innate people skills make her an invaluable asset to the team.
Career highlights
I started my career in supply chain, evolved through HR, and finally found my passion in marketing, creating a mark with online marketing during the pandemic. Now, as a Digital Executive at GMG, I uphold high standards for our brand awareness campaigns, fostering seamless synergies across platforms with my strong relationships and interpersonal skills. Two standout projects I am proud of are: Indus Tarbiyat, which impacted over 50 schools by educating children on money management and community service, and I-Inspire, which empowers women to advocate for social causes and give back to society.
Guiding principles
A mentor once taught me that setbacks are learning opportunities. While no one likes to fail, a positive mindset is essential. Challenges remind me that everything happens for a reason and there is always a silver lining. You either learn a new skill, a new way of thinking, or what not to do.
Side hustle
Beyond seeking inspiration in every piece of content to elevate my digital media skills, I am deeply passionate about education for children with special needs. I have already learned intermediate Pakistani Sign Language and am now dedicating my free time to finding ways to help support the cause.
