Campaign’s Faces to Watch, Brand Edition 2022 – Nour el Bohi, brand manager, pladis

Age: 26

Nominated by Yusra Badr, director at OMD: In a short time, Nour grasped the brands she was working on and collaborated with us as her media arm to create undeniable successes for these brands. Nour is very dedicated, and she always goes the extra mile to create the best strategy especially for launching products. She proved her capacity to juggle multiple active brands without dropping the ball and any of the brands. Her style is very courageous as she believes in testing and learning, she always likes to explore new things to see firsthand how it affects her campaigns. The whole team enjoys working with Nour as she challenges us but is very appreciative of our efforts.

Bio

My three years with pladis have been chock-full of experiences and opportunities that have left me set for a lifetime. I began with pladis as an Assistant Brand Manager. Since then, I’ve handled six different brands (at times all at once) across different segments. During my time, I’ve managed over 15 new product launches along with a complete portfolio restructure, lead four “360 campaigns” under locally pioneered communication platforms, driven share growth that enabled us to gain market leadership and been nominated for our global “Stars of the Year” awards – recognizing regional best practices and stand out projects.

Guiding principles

To me, the core of all success stems from resilience. Resilience is the capacity and ability “spring back”. It is the attitude of getting things done in any way and under any circumstance. With that, failures and mistakes become drivers of progress and there is nothing that can’t be achieved.

Side hustle

I’m a true enthusiast of anything that has to do with psychology and understanding people. This has taken me everywhere from pursuing courses and classes on social and consumer behaviour to working on initiatives like the “SAVE program” for children’s sensory and education development.
