Deepak really stood out to me from the moment I met him. Not only because his proactive nature meant he had several great internships under his belt, but also because his thirst for knowledge and passion for all things digital really stood out. Deepak is a rare breed – one of the few graduates I’ve worked with who will never be scared to work on something outside of his comfort zone, and always looking to learn and share his newfound knowledge with others. Deepak and I share a passion for data and dashboards which makes our collaboration all the more fun!

Bio

For a long time, I felt I wasn’t ready to start working full-time until I had grasped as much as I possibly could from mentors through internships – I went on to intern at Amazon, Coca Cola, and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism. I then pursued my Master’s degree, and eventually joined Cosmopole as a full-time digital marketing executive. Ever since the digital team and I have achieved great results for our clients – from significantly boosting SEO rankings and visibility to delivering 1000 per cent ROAS on paid ads.

Guiding principles

Knowledge is power – I believe that constant acquisition of knowledge coupled with pertinent implementation leads to great things, and am constantly seeking opportunities to learn as much as possible from my mentors, peers, and also from online courses to boost the value I can provide to clients and my coworkers.

How has Covid changed your job?

Covid has had a massive impact on our agency as a whole, although it’s hard to classify the effect as negative – while our homes are now our offices, and client meetings are now Zoom calls, we’ve managed to quickly adapt and maximise efficiency with a ‘client first’ mindset.

Side hustle

Back in 2018, I embarked on my very own culinary journey along with my best friend – we started an Instagram food blog as a passion project. Today, we receive weekly and monthly food-tasting invitations from restaurants, and it’s a great little fun-time activity for both of us.
