Nael Abdelaziz, director government relations & strategic communication, Apco Dubai: Omair has been an integral part of the Apco digital team for more than three years, and he has eight years of overall experience. He has successfully managed social media for corporate accounts and transitioned to work across different functions such as digital analytics, paid media and media relations demonstrating his dedication and strategic capabilities. Apart from delivering the best scientific insights, Omair has been supporting the new business teams with campaigns, creative recommendations and best practices. His work within the analytics team has led him to win the PRCA 2019 award for best use of measurement in a campaign.
Career highlights
Omair chose to start his career right after secondary school, where he started to work and volunteer in non-profit projects and photography in Jordan, which helped in shaping his communication, project management skills and strategic thinking.
He also worked for a local radio station, production house and digital agencies, where he started building his portfolio and enhancing his creative skills and digital capabilities.
After four years of experience in Jordan, Omair moved to Dubai in 2016 and started working on larger projects. Two years after, Omair started to expand and work on different functions such as Analytics and Business Development.
Guiding principles
I’ve learned flexibility, dedication and determination from my father, Sami Issyid, which made me give with all my heart in every single project I’m working on.
Dream job
My dream job is opening my own gym.
Side hustle
I’ve worked with amazing talents such as Andrea Dsouza and Ahmad Waly on the Pope’s Visit to the UAE. I also loved working with my friend Ammar Al Nubani on photography projects in Jordan such as CAMERJI, where we started a unique photography community full of talents and photographs.
