Campaign’s Creative Faces to Watch 2023 – Namita Nair, Art Director, Publicis One Touch
Age: 24
Nominated by Rita Harbie, Creative Director, Publicis One Touch:
No creative briefing session is complete without Namita’s reality-checks, hitting us with what it really means to ‘get’ Gen Z. Interestingly, her dark humor brightens up high-pressure moments, and her profound love for the work is terribly contagious. She’s full of strategic insights and is often the one to crack the main idea and/or visual aesthetic. Namita creates work that is all sorts of cool, pretty, and effective.
Career highlights
Namita joined Saatchi & Saatchi straight out of university. With a passion for all things art and a driving curiosity about what makes people tick, advertising seemed to be the alluring career choice.
She spent two years working on several international brands, from cars to cookies, building her skills and working herself up to Art Director. In that time, she had the opportunity to work on some award-winning campaigns for the agency, her proudest work to date is a campaign helping abandoned pets named “Oreo” find a home.
With a hunger to learn, especially all things tech, she is excited to see how advertising and herself evolve with the times.
Guiding principles
Namita’s design principle also applies to life – All the mistakes are there, waiting to be made.
She believes as long as you keep trying, you’re succeeding, and it helps if you’re having fun with your work, and your team all the while.
Side hustle
Namita spends all her free time, consuming media, whether it’s music, books, or TikToks. She claims it’s research for work, but really it’s so she doesn’t have to spend any time actually thinking about existence.
