Stephen Johnson, content lead, Merkle: Omer is young yet wise beyond his age. Growing up in conflict in Sudan, then traveling around and working in the Gulf and Asia, he has seen a lot. Meaningful human experiences are the main things that create the difference between a great copywriter and an average one. His humbleness will bring him very far. He works for the main clients in the agency and often provides inspiring solutions to any kind of problem by writing with flair. His ideas always add value to any brief and value to the people they are targeted towards.

  • Helping MG increase their market share within the ME market exponentially through campaigns, social content, etc.
  • Making the switch from PR into copywriting.

Locally, creative director within The Museum of the Future in the UAE.

Side hustle

Thanks to networking with the creative minds in the UAE and, of course, social media, I’ve managed to:

  • Write the script for a short film (Release date TBC).
  • Begin a personal blog for my own literary pleasure.
  • Start a food blog because, well, I love to eat.
