Amongst many things, Dana is dubbed as our organization’s trends master and word smith – capable of uncovering real human insights, unlocking business opportunities and forecasting the future for industries. Her talent in tackling a business’s present’s challenges and painting a different has helped TikTok unlock some of our biggest partnerships. Dana’s been nominated for J. Walter Thompson’s HiP club for high potential individuals, completed Marketing Society’s ‘One’s to Watch’ marketing leadership program and building her brand one accomplishment at a time.
Career highlights
Started my career as a Trends Strategist at Wunderman Thompson, producing thought leadership, consumer trends and industry innovation content for the MENA. Then led on The Innovation Group; in-house trend forecasting and creative think tank for the future. I joined the Strategy and Consulting function of Publicis Sapient as a Product Manager, owning the successful end-of-end delivery of digital products. Today, I am a Platform Strategist at TikTok for Business METAP, working on creating and business opportunities for TikTok across verticals, magic moments and beyond.
Guiding principles
A (lack of) curiosity killed the cat: I tend to be curious about things that most people tend to take as a given. For example, who decided that plates should be round? And so, my guiding principle is to never accept something because it’s been positioned as a rule of thumb.
Side hustle
I have a passion for keeping a pulse on the future of consumers, categories and culture. When I’m not busy coining and writing about trends, you’ll likely find me reading or raving about the next ‘big thing’ to others – even when they’re not necessarily interested in hearing about it.
