Regional agencies got off to a flying start during the second day of the Cannes Lions festival, with shortlisted work in the press, outdoor, radio and media categories.
There are a total of 43 pieces of work shortlisted in press, followed by 12 in outdoor and four apiece in media and radio. Y&R Dubai has the most work nominated, with 21 shortlists in print and seven in outdoor. Second is DDB Dubai with eight (all in press), followed by FP7/BAH (four in press and two in outdoor) and Memac Ogilvy Dubai on six (three apiece in press and outdoor). Y&R has been shortlisted for its work for Harvey Nichols, Land Rover and Kafa.
Also making the cut in the four categories are Leo Burnett Dubai (four), Elephant Cairo (three), Impact BBDO Dubai (three), TBWA\Raad (two), Impact BBDO Beirut (one), Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai (one) and Memac Ogilvy Label (one).
FP7/BAH, which was named media agency of the year at the Dubai Lynx in March, has no shortlisted work in the media category. Yesterday, only Leo Burnett Beirut was shortlisted in the PR category, with no nominated work in either direct or promo & activation.
