Campaign’s Creative Faces to Watch 2025 – Melanie Abou Chedid, Art Director, Dentsu Creative

Age: 22

Nominated by Patricia Charabati, Associate Creative Director:

Melanie is a firecracker. Full of ideas and creativity, she brings a breath of fresh air to an industry that, in my view, has been losing its daring edge. She’s a multi-talented force who not only stays true to herself but also infuses every project with her contagious energy. Whether leading or collaborating, she has a way of making people feel her passion. Beyond her creative work, she’s also a passionate chef, currently writing her own cookbook, EAT THIS. Keep your eye on her. She’s a rockstar!

Career highlights

I’m a designer, artist, and other things on the side. Art has been part of my life since childhood, leading me to graduate with Distinction from the Lebanese American University with a degree in Graphic Design. Now, I’m an Art Director.

I kicked off my career at 18, with an indie background balancing my studies and work. Since then, I’ve worked with clients across the MENA region and Europe, shaping brands and bringing ideas to life. Every project fuels my passion for design, storytelling, and innovation.

Guiding principles

As an Art director, designer and artist, I see my work thrive because of my commitment to storytelling, authenticity and good design. I believe great design is not just seen, great design impacts too. Whether I am crafting an ad campaign or personal art, I always want to create great work that makes you want to see more and leaves a lasting impact. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire, challenge norms, and turn ideas into experiences that truly connect with people.

Side hustle

I am on a cooking journey at the moment, currently writing my first cookbook called “Eat This”. I am designing, filming cooking everything. I am also a ceramist, I work with pottery on a wheel (wheel throwing) which I occasionally sell, because most of the time I get too attached to my pieces.
