LBi has strengthened its strategic leadership in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa regions with two senior appointments.
Amy McFarling, previously managing director of LBi MENA, has taken on the position of chief operating officer for LBi’s Asia Pacific (APAC) operations and will work alongside APAC chief executive Roy Capon. She will be responsible for driving the growth of recently launched LBi offices in Singapore and Shanghai, as well as developing the agency’s client base across the entire APAC region, into which the MENA region now reports.
Taking on her old role will be Roy Badawi, who has been promoted from sales and marketing director to the position of managing director of LBi MENA. Ewen Sturgeon, chief executive of LBi Europe, Middle East and Asia, said: “Asia Pacific and MENA are extremely important growth areas for LBi. Amy and Roy perfectly embody the spirit of LBi, and their respective promotions will help us cement LBi’s leadership position in the burgeoning APAC and MENA regions.”
Publicis recently merged LBi and Digitas, creating the world’s largest digital network. The formation of DigitasLBi follows the completion of Publicis’ $500 million acquisition of LBi.
