Campaign’s Media Faces to Watch 2021 —Isabelle Abou Samra, Senior Social Media Executive, OMD UAE
Age: 25
Nominated by Claire Fletcher, Head of Engagement, OMD UAE
Very rarely does someone come along that takes the weight off everyone’s shoulders by going over and above to ensure business wins, project success and account stability with so many team members being hired based on the new contracts. She is passionate, powerful, creative, supportive and always holds her hands up to go over and above what is required.
Bio
As an account executive, I have worked across our biggest accounts, BDF and Pepsi while being a part of a winning pitch team on ADM. I’ve also worked on influencer activations as the key driver for some of the most successful campaigns (featured on Campaign ME) I.E Clorox TikTok Challenge during lockdown as well as securing one of the biggest influencer-led wins for Pepsi (locking down an entire road with influencers for a music video collaboration.).
Guiding principles
Happiness is a choice and it’s something that I always hold close to everything that I do. Never be too busy to help or smile as all problems are just challenges waiting to be solved with great teamwork and amazing coffee.
How has Covid changed your job?
The enhanced digital approach has made me more effective, adaptable and approachable as it removed the fear that the physical world used to place on certain job functions like presenting in person. But most of all, I learned to rely on teamwork to achieve more with less.
Side hustle
Besides skateboarding and extreme sports, I’m always looking at connecting with creators to enhance my ability to tell stories on social media. Currently, I’m supporting the Heroes of Hope Foundation in rolling out their social media campaigns to support sports inclusivity for individuals of determination.
