DDB Dubai has struck gold at the New York Festivals International Advertising Awards.
The agency won in the design category thanks to its ‘Organ donation’ work for the Committee of Organ Donation in Lebanon (pictured above), which also won gold at last year’s Dubai Lynx. DDB also walked away with a bronze for its TV work for Al Ghandi Electronics.
The region’s other winners were Memac Ogilvy Dubai, which brought home two bronzes in print and outdoor for its ‘Pixelated truth’ campaign for Reporters Without Borders, and FP7/DXB, whose ‘Directory’ print work for Batelco landed a bronze for art direction.
DDB’s gold is the first for the region since 2010, when Leo Burnett Beirut won for its Khedé Kasra campaign for The Hariri Foundation, and Y&R Dubai bagged a gold, silver and bronze in the print category for three different campaigns for Harvey Nichols.
