APCO has announced a host of key changes within its core leadership team in the MENA region.

As part of the leadership updates, APCO MENA President Mamoon Sbeih has moved to a global role, taking up the title of Chief International Business Development Officer. On the regional level, he will hold the position of Chairman, MENA.

In his new global position, Sbeih will work with APCO’s international network, which serves clients across more than 80 markets, to support clients navigating growth corridors linked to MENA. His remit includes cross-border advisory services, international partnerships and strategic initiatives that position the region as a bridge between East and West.

“The transformation we are witnessing across MENA represents one of the most significant geopolitical and economic shifts of our time,” said Sbeih. “APCO has been privileged to support this evolution over nearly two decades, building deep relationships and expertise across the region. As our clients’ needs have evolved from regional market access to global corridor navigation, APCO must evolve as well to fully support clients’ needs.”

Succeeding Sbeih, Samer El Hachem has been appointed President of MENA, stepping up from his role as Deputy President and COO.

In his new role, El Hachem will oversee the agency’s operations and growth as an advisory and advocacy partner across the region, with a focus on strengthening capabilities in areas including strategy consulting, digital transformation and government and public sector advisory.

Meanwhile, Faten Al Masri has been promoted to Deputy President of MENA, stepping into El Hachem’s previous role.

“As global power dynamics shift and traditional leaders adopt more nationalist postures, MENA has emerged as a critical connector internationally,” said APCO Founder and Executive Chairman Margery Kraus. “This leadership team ensures we will continue delivering the regional excellence our clients expect while expanding our ability to serve their growing global connectivity needs.”
