Y&R Dubai was the world’s fifth most creative agency in 2013, according to the annual Big Won Report.
The agency also tops the print table and is positioned eighth in the world in outdoor, largely thanks to ‘Pelicans’ for Harvey Nichols, which was the most awarded press campaign in the world in 2013.
Also performing well were Leo Burnett Dubai, which is ranked first in media. Memac Ogilvy Dubai is placed second in radio, ahead of DDB in fifth, whilst Mindshare Dubai is placed fourth in media. Leo Burnett Beirut is ranked the fourth best agency globally for PR, just ahead of Impact BBDO Beirut in sixth.
The Big Won Report ranks agencies, individuals and countries by the number and quality of awards won across all media during the year and is a register of who’s winning what at ad awards shows around the world. The 2013 rankings are based on 8,004 awards for 4,780 separate pieces of work.
Also included in the top 50 agencies worldwide were Memac Ogilvy Dubai at 21, Leo Burnett Beirut at 28, and Leo Burnett Dubai at 47. Meanwhile, the UAE has risen to sixth in the list of top countries for creativity, up from last year’s seventh.
