Agencies across the Middle East and North Africa have notched up a collective 56 shortlists during the second day of the Cannes Lions festival.
The shortlists for media, mobile, press and outdoor were released this morning, with Y&R Dubai leading the way thanks a strong showing in both press and outdoor. In total there are 30 nominations for the region in press, 18 in outdoor, seven in media and one in mobile (for Memac Ogilvy Label’s ‘Mobilising the 12th man’).
Leo Burnett’s offices in Cairo, Dubai and Beirut made the cut in press and media, while JWT’s operations in Doha, Cairo and Dubai were shortlisted in press and outdoor. Also shortlisted are Impact BBDO and Mindshare, the only media agency to make the cut in the media category.
Today’s shortlists add to the eight received in promo & activation, direct and PR yesterday.
The winners in creative effectiveness, direct, PR and promo & activation will be announced this evening.
