Former STARZPLAY and beIN Media executive joins Augustus Media

Badki brings nearly 20 years of experience in building and scaling consumer platforms across the MENA region and India to Augustus Media.

Augustus Media has appointed Rahul Badki as Senior Commercial Director and Head of Platforms & Subscriptions in an effort to reinforce the company’s commitment to expanding its platform, subscription and diversified revenue businesses.

Based in Dubai, Badki brings nearly 20 years of experience in building and scaling consumer platforms across the MENA region and India, with expertise spanning OTT, digital media and telecommunications.

In his new role, Badki will oversee the growth and development of Augustus Media’s platforms and subscription businesses, focusing on audience monetisation, platform expansion, CTV Ads, partnerships, and long-term revenue diversification.

Throughout his career, Badki has held leadership positions at STARZPLAY, beIN Media Group, Viu, HP and Vodafone Essar. His experience includes building data-driven operating frameworks, scaling subscription and advertising-supported streaming businesses (SVOD and AVOD), and leading commercial partnerships with telecom operators, device manufacturers and distribution partners across multiple markets.

The appointment comes as Augustus Media aims to expand its portfolio of brands, while investing in technology, platform innovation and new audience revenue opportunities.

Badki holds an Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and an Engineering degree in Computer Science. He will be based at Augustus Media’s Dubai headquarters and will work closely with teams across the company’s regional operations.
