Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2026 – Mohamed Eltayeb, Account Manager, Weber Shandwick MENAT

Age: 27

Country: Qatar

Nominated by Public Relations, Senior Director:

Mohamed is one of those rare talents whose presence elevates every team lucky enough to have him. A trained journalist by trade, extremely smart, and always delivering at the highest quality, Mohamed comes with the sharp eye of a strategic communications professional that goes well beyond the tactical day-to-day work. While he brings dynamic creativity and a can-do attitude to the table, he also maintains a fingertip feel for what works and what won’t, particularly in complex contexts that require deeper understanding. It is no surprise that he has earned the trust, confidence, and respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Career highlights

I came to Qatar as an international student and decided to stay to build something meaningful. I started my career as a journalist, covering the FIFA World Cup and reporting from the ground on humanitarian crises in Turkey, Sudan, and Libya. That fast-paced newsroom experience shaped how I tell stories today. I now lead communications at Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, translating complex research in autism, cancer, and diabetes into impactful narratives that matter to Qatar and the wider Middle East. My work sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and storytelling.

Guiding principles

I believe in purposeful storytelling that creates impact, not noise. I value clarity, credibility, and consistency. Whether in journalism or strategic communications, I aim to translate complexity into narratives that inform, influence, and build long-term trust.

Side hustle

Beyond my primary role, I am Co-Founder of the African Alumni of Qatar Foundation, building a platform that connects and amplifies African graduates in Qatar. I also run 20/20, a boutique digital agency focused on strategic communications, branding, and digital growth.
