Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2022 – Yara Nimer, Senior Account Manager – Content + Publishing, Sports + Entertainment, Hill+Knowlton Strategies
Kirsty O’Connor, Director – Content, Data + Digital, MENA, Hill+Knowlton Strategies: In my almost six years of line managing Yara, she’s grown from a digital account executive into an integrated senior account manager and mother of one. Her unique route into the PR industry, starting in digital-first before learning traditional, see her automatically think digital-first. When she’s not creating content, she is deep in performance analytics to understand and perfect her craft and her process. Her wide-ranging skillset, her fierce belief in the power of Arab women and her skills from motherhood, all combine to give her everything a future female leader in the Middle East should need.
Yara joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a digital intern in 2014, before moving into the Sports + Entertainment team. Seven years on, Yara’s expertise spans digital and traditional communications. She can focus on influencer campaigns, social content or media relations, but thrives in an integrated communications environment.
She has worked for global brands including Porsche, Reebok and F1 After Race Concerts, winning awards across all. Most recently, she delivered against the communications plan for MDLBEAST, including SOUNDSTORM, the biggest music festival in the region, and XP Music Conference, the first and only conference for the music industry in the region.
Don’t overlook the smart basics! Being disciplined in processes and organisation forms habits, which builds a strong foundation for any task or campaign for you, your colleagues, and your client’s work.
The never-ending journey that is motherhood, raising my two-year-old daughter Kenzi. When I am not juggling her future, my future and my family, you can find me weightlifting and creating health and fitness content on Instagram.
