Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2022 – Krishika Mahesh, PR & Social Media Manager, Matrix Public Relations Dubai
Namita Thakkar, PR Director, Matrix Public Relations Dubai: Krishika has been an asset to Matrix PR since the time she joined the organization almost 6 years ago. Her positive attitude, openness to learn and a high degree of diligence have empowered her growth from an intern to an Account Manager.
Her attitude to overcome challenges, bring out the best in her team members, and willingness to take on new initiatives validate the multiple award-winning campaigns she has been a part of in recent years.
Krishika’s efforts to service and manage clients in the most complex situations and her skills to establish media relations across the region have definitely set the right example for the team. Krishika has all the right ingredients that will take her a long way to achieve great success in her career in PR and communication.
I understood early on that success in PR is all about gaining credibility. My passion for PR is second only to my love for dance and that dedication has been critical to my credibility as a communication professional.
From intern to PR & Social Media Manager in a span of 3 years, I have been part of 7 award-winning campaigns by MEPRA and PRCA in the last 12 months. During the last seven years, I have had the experience of working across multiple industries including fashion, finance and technology. I have also branched out into social media, crisis communications and digital marketing.
I am proud of being a speed dial number for many journalists and editors and being shortlisted as the top 10 candidates for MEPRA’s Young Communicator Award in 2017.
I’ve recently taken up the role to lead, guide and mentor my younger team members and share my knowledge and experience with them. I’ve also had the opportunity to do voluntary work for clients as part of Matrix’s social impact campaign during the pandemic.
My measurement of success however is securing the respect and trust of the media, clients and most importantly, from my team.
“Do what you love, love what you do”
~ I am very passionate about communications, and with this field constantly evolving, I strongly believe we must always keep learning, honing our skills and adapting.
~ I take great pride in my team, and believe in the value of teamwork and empowerment. It is crucial for me to recognize my team’s needs, and help them with creative solutions to get the best result.
~ Have courage to always do the right thing by clients, media and my team and the strength to own failures and learn from them
I’m a storyteller – whether it is through communications or dance!
I’m a trained Kathak dancer/artist, also known as “Kathakar” (meaning storyteller), an Indian Classical Dance form – and am a part of a dance company in Dubai that produces dance-theatre shows. I also often choreograph and teach.
