Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2022 – Dana El Halabi, Senior Associate, Integrated Media, Weber Shandwick MENAT
Tina Varghese, Director, Client Experience, Weber Shandwick MENAT: Having joined as an Associate on the Technology & B2B team at Weber Shandwick in the UAE in September 2019, Dana was able to quickly play an instrumental role within the team and the wider agency. She easily developed an in-depth understanding of very technical subject matter for her clients and quickly adapted their communications programs in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, within four months of joining the agency, she was awarded “Rockstar Rookie of the Year”, as part of the WS internal awards for new joiners that have made a significant impact to their office, teams and clients over the last year.
As the upbeat dynamo of Weber Shandwick’s Tech & B2B team in Dubai, I’ve played a central role in helping clients tell the stories that best reflect what they stand for, and strategically deliver it in thought-provoking ways. I measure my success in the level of satisfaction clients feel, and through the value, quality, and impact of the work they benefit from. I’m bilingual in Arabic and English, and hold two Bachelor degrees, in Communications and Biology, as well as a Minor in Psychology – all of which I use to add value to the ever-changing and evolving world around me.
I truly believe that people do their best work and live their best lives when they are being authentic to their values.
My vision for the PR industry is one of brilliance through change, transparency and embracing diversity – and I will continuously find ways to contribute to that.
I’m a certified Yoga instructor, and enjoy teaching others about Yoga, mindfulness and meditation, as well as encourage others towards a holistic approach to health and wellness.
I also enjoy volunteering, across a wide range of activities, from environmental cleanups, to tutoring, to conducting biomedical research, and supporting with visual media production for TV and Film.
