Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2021 —Ahmed Malik, Account Manager, Cicero & Bernay
Nominated by Khaled Abu Hishme, Account Director, Cicero & Bernay
In such a short time, Ahmed has elevated the brand reputation of several clients that he handle. He also stepped up his media pitches to intrigue journalists on different clients and projects. I believe he deserves recognition for the numerous achievements he achieved in less than 3 years in the PR industry.
Before Ahmed joined the PR world, he taught political news values and history of journalism at Limkokwing University, Malaysia and was assigned to be part of the academic excellence team to establish different branches of the university across South and West Africa. At Cicero & Bernay, Ahmed played a pivotal role in re-imagining the communication strategy for Azizi Developments and maintaining the reputation of the DFSA during the Abraaj fallout. He was also a member of the strategic communication team of the International Telecommunications Union – Plenipotentiary Conference 2018, Dubai, which was hosted by the TRA.
Ahmed’s keen interest in financial communication, crisis management, business advisory, public relations, and integrated marketing forms the foundation of his methodology that is further enriched by his work experience in culturally diverse settings.
How has Covid changed your job?
During the outbreak of Covid-19, Ahmed devised compelling strategies that focused on compassionate communication and utilised a mix of traditional and new-age tactics, including video news releases, programmatic PR, and webinars, to zero in on a client’s mission and educate key stakeholders.
