Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2020 – Ahmad Jarrar, Senior account executive, Asda’a BCW
Nedal Al Asaad, senior vice-president, head of public affairs, Asda’a BCW: In a short span, Ahmad gained the trust of his clients, and built strong relationships, which helped maintain a successful partnership. A versatile communicator, he adopts Asda’a BCW’s evidence-based and bespoke approaches that meet the needs of governmental and corporate clients. He is adaptable, committed and has proven competencies in providing advisory services based on informed insights. He gains these from his proactive outlook towards understanding the market trends. An active team player, I see strong potential in him to be a leading voice in the communications industry.
I started my career at Apco Worldwide, where I gained the management’s trust and was assigned to high-level governmental projects. I worked on three editions of the World Government Summit and various projects for the Prime Minister’s Office and Crown Prince Court, among others. At Asda’a BCW, I worked on high-profile international events such as the Global Business Forum – Africa, UAE Public Policy Forum, World Energy Congress, and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which strengthened my skills in multiple sectors, including energy and public affairs.
My humble experience taught me that never lying and owning up to one’s own mistakes is a much safer road; it reflects responsibility and maturity.
International political consultant
I am an active member of humanitarian groups. It all started during the first wave of Syrian refugees seeking asylum in Europe. I was part of a WhatsApp group created to facilitate their communications at the Greek shores, through translations of requests and documents.
