Campaign’s Media Faces to Watch 2022 – Mohammad Abdelkarim, Data Analyst – Adtech, Havas Media Middle East

Kamal El Agha, Head of Data & Tech, Havas Media Middle East: Mohammad Abdelkarim (affectionately -and mysteriously- known as MG to everyone at Havas) is a very smart and personable individual that has become a key member of the Data, Analytics & Technology department since joining the Havas Middle East internship program in September 2021. MG has progressed at such a pace that he was promoted ahead of the standard timeline to an executive in Havas Media Middle East.

In addition to having an extremely sharp mind, his friendly personality and humble nature have enabled him to learn and grow to a place where he is able to contribute and have an impact in many meaningful ways across the agency’s client projects in a very short time.

There is no doubt that MG will continue to grow and expand his knowledge and capabilities within Havas and in the marketing and communication industry in general.

Career highlights

I started my career in Digital Marketing with Havas Middle Eats as an intern in Data & Tech, and got into Data Engineering shortly after with the help of my team. Meanwhile, I started working on data products to support both the agency and consumer journey, those products being anything from automation to data science. I’m excited to see what the future holds for me at Havas.

Guiding principles

“Do not go where the path may lead but go where there’s no path and leave a trail.” Give it your all no matter the circumstance; develop the habit of setting standards that others will be measured by.

Side hustle

I tend to develop Machine Learning APIs in my free time; I do that because I love both topics. It’s a way for me to combine both Data Engineering and science together to think about solutions to provide to the world.
