Campaign’s Media Faces to Watch 2021 —Nicole Frenn, Performance Supervisor, UM

Nicole has been working on the L’Oréal account for almost 6 months as a Performance Supervisor and prior to that on J&J. In such a short time frame on L’Oréal, Nicole has shown a level of professional maturity and agility well beyond her years. With a massive focus on e-commerce scaling, Nicole has taken the performance agenda of L’Oréal by the reigns and has influenced the agenda from day one. Specifically, a L’Oréal brand saw a 33% increase in sales during White Friday – one of the strongest sales period for the brand which Nicole was massively crucial in help drive.
My career started in Digital Marketing with a focus on driving performance in multiple industries such as Automotive and CPG which propelled my growth. I worked with the J3 team on carving out a strategy for Search that focused on personalization while at the same time optimizing for website engagement which was a big success and landed us the ‘Best PPC campaign’ in MENA Search Awards 2020. On L’Oréal, with e-commerce as the biggest bet for the business, I was able to support in the e-commerce strategy which has started to pay dividends in the form of positive ROAS growth.
As Steve Jobs said “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”, I always push myself to keep learning and strengthening my knowledge base. I believe that knowledge holds the biggest value which keeps us relevant and on point.
How has Covid changed your job?
It has certainly highlighted my role as core to business success now more than ever! C-19 brought a lot of challenges but also a lot of opportunities as it helped us “work smarter and not just harder” with our clients by highlighting the importance of lower funnel planning.
As I was a Girl Scout for 15 years and in the Lebanese Red Cross for 3 years, giving back to the community became a big part of my life driven by multiple charity missions and humanitarian work which shaped who I am today.
