Campaign’s Media Faces to Watch 2020 – Sally Adib, Digital manager, Carat Saudi Arabia

Ahmad Haider, managing director, Dentsu Aegis Network KSA: Sally was (and still is) one of the few females who confidently ventured into the world of digital media in Saudi Arabia early on. She seamlessly combines her local knowledge with DAN’s global exposure and expertise to equip our clients with solutions that are backed by real life insights. In a recent semi-medical product launch for one of our clients, Sally was able to employ her medical studies in strategising a campaign that combined delicate content marketing and product integration with the usual media channel selection. A campaign that triggered product sales and awareness levels beyond the client’s projected forecast.

Career highlights

I am an enthusiastic individual who is motivated and driven to grow local brands and create innovative digital approaches for them in order to make them reach their goals. I put so much effort to fully execute and complete a digital campaign excitedly to hear a client say, “Thank you team, you did a great job.”

As my path transitioned from health to advertising, my individual development also shaped drastically.

Guiding principles

Since I was a medical science student, health has given me the valuable lesson to connect with people heartily and taught me how efficient communication is. This in return solidified my role in a digital media career. I try to help and support my team with the experience I carried throughout my learnings because I believe that sharing the power of knowledge is what inspires people.

Another key factor that makes me eager to grow is to educate myself within the field I’m related to. Throughout my career, I was lucky to have two bright managers who each taught me a new angle of the industry and opened my eyes to work principles.

Dream job

My dream job was to become a doctor; working in ER department and trying to save as many lives as possible. I am still trying to do that but from a different perspective today; I take intensive care of brands instead of humans.

Side hustle

Aside from that, photography is something where I found myself, especially during my travels. I believe that there is beauty in everything around us and highlighting that through a lens is what would give it its right. To share that passion, I post my captured photographs on a social platform hoping they will reach out to people.
