Campaign’s Faces to Watch, Brand Edition 2022 – Shemma Al Ali, graphic designer, Wio

Nominated by Dhabia Almheiri, creative manager at Wio: I love Shemma’s way of seeing things, in terms of content and the way things work in design, and her ability to immediately tell if things will work as per the guidelines or if things are user-friendly or do they give a great seamless experience. Just overall, her attention to detail is like no other!

On another note, design is not the only thing that matters, she’s a fun person to be with, making work way more fun than what it is, and she’s also a person you can easily connect with. Shemma would lend a hand, whenever needed. Her eagerness to learn new things and she will always happily take notes and learn from her mistakes.  She’s just got such a happy soul overall.

Bio

I got the opportunity to be working for the international brand Merlin Entertainment at Legoland in Dubai and also, being chosen to undergo a 6-months job shadowing and studying at Rosin College in Florida, USA.

My work philosophy is to always try my best to be efficient and to always have balance.

Side hustle

YNK Studio: No Rules, Just Creativity. I created YNK Studio a few years back to start my journey in design freelancing. It is a one-man show so far but my hope for it is to expand it in the far future. My most popular services include creating logos, social media posts and visual identities. Small businesses are my main target audience as it gives me the joy to feel that I was part of someone’s start-up. Some of my clients are @FifthFlavour.ae, @EmiratesLive, Expo2020Dubai and @Flat.12.
