Campaign’s Faces to Watch, Brand Edition 2022 – Eleanor Mallon, senior blog editor & trend reporter, Huda Beauty

Age: 27

Nominated by Rebecca Tomkins, director of content, Huda Beauty: Eleanor is a dream to work with! She’s a brilliant writer brimming with ideas, always eager to learn, help, and resolve new challenges, and a true team player.

After completing a Trend Reporting Course with the London College of Fashion last year, Eleanor has brought these skills into her role to create exceptional trend-related content for the blog as well as internal reports for the team. She now manages the blog content plan, overseeing the day-to-day content of the blog while helping new team members grow and develop.

Her passion for trends, pop culture, and feminine wellness has been a great asset to our content and company and allows her to bring interesting and unique insights to our content and team meetings. A true joy to work with and watch as she grows every day.

Bio

In essence, I’m a writer obsessed with fashion and beauty, infatuated by pop and celebrity culture, and fascinated by trends. Oh, and I’m a feminist who aims to uplift and support my readers, so they feel heard, seen, and inspired by the content I create.

On an average day, I write educational and informative content that covers all areas of beauty and wellness, from feminine health to trend-focused content. To accompany my copy, I work closely with graphic designers to create visuals that engage and entice our readers.

Alongside my editorial work, I work alongside the social media, global marketing, and PR teams to ensure the blog and brand messaging align harmoniously. In addition to this, I create supplementary content to support important brand launches and campaigns.

Guiding principles

I aim to educate, validate, and uplift others through my creative work.

Side hustle

As a trend forecaster and reporter, I keep my eyes peeled for what’s trending, rising, and falling all over the world 24/7, which is much more than a full-time job. So, on the side, I’m researching, reading, and scrolling to make sure I never miss a thing!

I also take this approach to the Dubai restaurant and art scene, and share my findings with friends and colleagues – I’m a Dubai girl at heart!
