Sazia started her journey at Lenovo as an intern to support the marketing team and delivered outstanding results that resulted in her becoming permanent in the company as a digital & brand specialist for MEA. Sazia is a result-driven individual, she will always strive to learn. In addition to that, she is a hard worker and passionate about her job. What makes her so special is her ability to learn and execute quickly. Sazia has a bright future ahead and I am sure she will be in the future one of the most talented female marketing leaders in our region.
Bio
My professional career began at the age of 17 while studying International Business in my second year of university. I joined Lenovo in 2019 as a marketing intern and witnessed myself thrive as a marketing professional. Lenovo provided the platform to enrich my knowledge by learning and challenging myself. The pinnacle of my internship journey was managing and executing marketing campaigns in East, West, and Central Africa. In April 2021, I became the Digital and Brand Specialist for the MEA region at the age of 21. Looking back at my journey, I am evermore grateful to Lenovo for helping me empower myself.
Guiding principles
I believe in 3 things: work smart and work hard; there is no end to learning so ask your questions; be organized and set a time limit for everything. Combining all these will help you flourish your knowledge and enhance your skills.
How has Covid-19 changed your job?
The change may have seemed a little challenging in the beginning but soon it was a seamless transformation and I learned the most through various obstacles – that remote working presented due to Covid. Even though calls take most of the time, I still feel as though they bring people together more.
Side hustle
As a side hustle, I help my dad with his restaurant business. I have established the brand identity and enabled a marketing strategy. I hope to one day lead this business to greater success.
