“Muhammad Arslan has been with our local-based Dubai team for the past three years. During this time he has shown a never say die attitude to his work, always going above and beyond. On a day to day, Arslan leads our business development efforts across the entire MEA region setting up pitches for sellers, managing virtual market visits which have enabled us to open up new revenue opportunities across the region. Over the last year, he has achieved 120% of his new business goal. His attitude to work, willingness to always help colleagues, along with his outgoing personality leaves me with no doubt he will be a face to watch in the years to come as his career develops.


I started working at the age of 18 as a telesales representative in Pakistan in 2011. Since, I have worked in different roles covering Customer Service, Market Research and Marketing. My experience brought me to what I am passionate about – business development and travel. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Sojern, I look after the sales pipeline and forecast for the Middle East, North Africa and India region. I have helped transform the BDR role globally and as one of the top-performing BDR’s within the company globally, I am proud to help the team successfully achieve financial goals.

Guiding principles

Supporting my two sisters in their education! In my family, women weren’t encouraged to study, given equal funding or work and I wanted this to change. Now, my sisters attend top universities and my youngest sister will be the first woman to study abroad on her own – a family inspiration.

How has Covid-19 changed your job?

My job success was dependent on physical market visits. Not only have I had to transition my role to work for 2 sides of the business (SMB & Enterprise), I have innovatively adopted virtual market visits utilising tech to the best of my ability – my results have been the same!

Side hustle

Event planner! Be it birthdays (20+), baby showers, weddings, travel or tour guide of Dubai, I am the event organiser. I even planned an end to end trip for 12  for the Russian World Cup in 2018. I also volunteer for different humanitarian causes including dog shelters and beach cleaning.
