Islam Raslan, Digital performance Head, OMD Egypt: Waleed has been a vital part of the Programmatic team here at OMD since joining us in October 21. He is instrumental in driving the day-to-day activities across some of the world’s largest brands, including (Ulker, McDonald’s, Philips, and Nissan).
Waleed is a creative thinker and problem solver who strives to give the finest digital solutions for our clients while thinking outside the box and proposing new technologies.
His fast learning curve makes me wonder where his eagerness to learn will take him in the digital world, which has an undoubtedly bright future.
I’ve always tried to take many trainings and Internships in the advertising field before I graduated from the university as this was my study field and also my passion. I kicked my career in media as soon as I graduated as a social media specialist, then going into the digital performance life. Working across many different industries in a short time and giving the opportunity to work on well-known brands is my greatest achievement till now and it helped me to develop my passion for Media. (Ex: Food & Beverage, Banking, Automotive, Electronics, FMCG, Medical, etc).
I believe that the best thing is to be Optimistic, to leave past failures in the past and focus positively on your future. Getting to think on the positives only will get you to produce a good mentality. Try always not to lose hope
To me, optimism is the key to success.
Multitasking, quick thinking, and developing my reading and computing skills, are some of the main advantages of playing videogames. This is my other passion, getting some self-time to play video games. Always try to use my love for gaming to develop and get creative ideas in my daily routine life.
