Campaign’s Digital Faces to Watch 2022 – Judy Bakieh, Senior Influencer Relations Executive, Gambit Communications
Jamal Almawed, Founder & Managing Director, Gambit Communications: We were one of the first comms agencies in this region to create a dedicated Influencer Relations role, and while on paper it was innovative, it still needed the right person to make it work. Judy came in and made the role her own, with maturity beyond her years that has allowed her to lead on big-budget influencer campaigns for multinational clients almost singlehandedly. She brings a rare combination of style, substance, creativity and control that gives clients, teammates and the influencers themselves peace of mind. Anytime you see one of our campaigns winning gold, invariably you will see Judy heading up on stage!
I am the engineer that went rogue! My unconventional path to Influencer Marketing started when I left my engineering degree behind to pursue my own passion. After a stint as a logistics coordinator for Christian Dior, I joined Gambit Communications to put my people skills to the test in the world of influencers.
Today, my role focuses on bridging the gap between a great idea and the right persona to translate client objectives into an influencer campaign that is both authentic and impactful. In the past year, I have led more than 15 influencer campaigns that have won seven Golds at the MEPRAs and PRCAs.
My guiding principles are the big 3 C’s: commitment, consistency, and compassion. The commitment to delivering results, acting with integrity, and being accountable and reliable. Consistency, as is the fundamental ingredient for work quality, and compassion because it creates the space for active communication which in return improves organizational performance.
I love meeting, inspiring, and unfolding the potential of people, and I am lucky to practice this every day as a life coach, running six-month development programmes for my clients with an emphasis on individuals who are subjected to social pressure.
