Campaign’s Digital Faces to Watch 2022 – Jana Alawa, Media Executive, Havas Media Middle East
Naveen Chacko Mathews, Head of Business Unit, Havas Media Middle East: For everyone who says interns need a lot of time to learn, they haven’t met Jana! She has grown from a fresh intern to an Executive that is an integral part of the ‘du’ telecom team. A true rockstar, who in a short span of time, has learnt to champion client conversations to the point that clients feel they have been working with her for years. She is organized and has the right can-do attitude; it’s an absolute pleasure working with Jana and you can trust her to get things done every single time without missing a beat. She is confident, pleasant and focused on driving excellence that should see her grow within Havas Middle East for years to come.
As a prospering 2020 graduate, I ventured into the media industry with resilience. Then, as a media performance intern, I worked on several accounts across different industries. I mainly managed the leading hospital group Mediclinic, Riot Games and F&B brands -it was my utmost priority to deliver adequate results for my clients. The adrenaline of this role fueled my passion for fast-paced positions and offered me a platform to embrace creativity in the workplace. Joining Havas Middle East as a Media Executive allowed me to do just that by managing the ‘du’ telecom account. Developing into a young professional with exciting challenges ahead has been a pleasure.
It is human nature to strive to accomplish more than what society expects from us. However, someone once said: “Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.” This is a reminder that kindness is the key to success as it goes hand in hand with developing good client relationships.
Our campaigns take off as quickly as my desire to hop into the next cycling class. Cycling allows me to take a moment of reflection as I embrace every beat of the music. It’s a form of self-care and peace of mind that relieves any stress I may be encountering.
