Age: 24

Country: United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Nominated by Anu ThomasDirector – Creative Strategy:
Aya is a rare strategic thinker — deeply insightful, culturally aware, and relentlessly curious. She doesn’t settle for surface-level ideas; she interrogates briefs until she uncovers the human truth that makes work meaningful and commercially strong. What sets her apart is her balance of sharp analytical thinking and creative bravery. She challenges respectfully, collaborates generously, and consistently elevates the standard of thinking around her.

Aya represents the kind of next-generation talent our industry needs: thoughtful, intentional, and truly impactful.

She is absolutely one to watch.

Career highlights

Aya is a creative strategist and experience designer driven by a belief that experiences should make people feel something. With a background spanning content strategy, social media, and arts & culture, she brings a storytelling lens to every brief.

A design management graduate, she has shaped major UAE cultural moments, including the Sharjah Events Festival, Hatta Winter Festival, and DEWA Suhoor Gala. Most notably, Aya conceptualised and delivered two distinct editions of the Sharjah Events Festival — transforming the same venue into Adventure Island and later Playtopia, each with entirely new worlds, visual languages, and audience journeys.

Guiding principles

Aya designs through inclusivity, joy, and empathy. She believes the most meaningful experiences aren’t the most extravagant but the most human. By listening deeply and understanding audience needs, she creates environments where people feel welcomed, emotionally connected, and free to participate, express themselves, and form lasting shared memories.

Side hustle

Aya is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Maison de Hoor, a modest couture label centred on identity-driven style. Through her workshop series, “The Atelier”, she guides women in discovering their personal aesthetic, translating confidence, culture, and self-expression into bespoke, made-to-measure garments rooted in storytelling and craftsmanship.
