Waseem Yakdi, CEO, Zia Creative Network: Amir Yakdi is Zia Creative Network’s creative director responsible for creating and implementing concepts for still, motion and film projects. He consistently brings great ideas while being open to anything that makes those ideas better. He has the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge his department. Due to his charisma and work ethic, our clients – including Dubai Police, Ministry of Interior, Jaguar and Land Rover – usually seek Amir’s extended involvement in every project. From creating the concept to understanding and executing the client’s vision, Amir is proficient in everything he does.
My extensive experience has enabled me to leverage my passion for accuracy, storytelling and visual excellence to consistently deliver outstanding, creative and out-of-the-box results that capture audience interest. As a forward-thinking creator, I continually experiment with new technology, cameras and editing software to achieve superior production outcomes. This unique combination of abilities specifically suits me for this next step as a professional.
In my current position as director of creative and photography, I am part of a challenge-driven team where I supervise and work with staff photographers, artists and graphic designers to develop and enhance the overall style of advertising campaigns, including commercials. After discussions with clients to develop the best approach and style to suit the product, I create timelines to coordinate creative department activities and present preliminary designs for approval.
My guts guided me ever since I started my career. Online education helped me explore the most updated technologies. I learned most of the things online.
To be a part of an agency that has a balanced mix of commercials and advertisements.
For the side project, I would love to get into the fashion world and to work on more edgy and artistic fashion projects that will help me enhance my creative side.
