The endeavors of creator Pablo Gonzalez Vargas expand far beyond the Burning Man community as he is also the founder of Sr. Pago, one of the leading e-payment platforms in Latin America. As if having his hands in both the art and tech worlds wasn’t enough, he is also the founder of EXA Radio & TV, which become one of the most influential media outlets and voices for the Latin American youth market. It was during this time that he provided the vision which led to multiple concerts, performances, and music festivals. Working as a production director for the Dish/MVS TV network, Vargas remains a passionate supporter of the Visual and Performing Arts.
More recently, Pablo created Ilumina, an interactive light and sound installation that first appeared at Burning Man in 2017 and is described as a “profound visual, aural, and mystical experience that highlights the interconnectivity of our planet and enhances the global energy field.” After his first test of the HeartMath lnstitute’s feedback software, he realized the limitless potential of integrating digital results on collective coherence and gave birth to the idea.
During the recently held Burning Man 2020, in the Multiverse—he unveiled another grandiose vision and an even more grandiose drive to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown. Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression, this time in the largest virtual event delivered to date…
