Middle East Communication Network (MCN) agency Promoseven 360 has appointed James Welch as managing director, a newly created position.

In his last assignment, Welch was managing director of WPP’s digital consultancy Media Innovation Group, across Asia Pacific. He is credited with setting up a shopper activation division for Glendinning Management Consultants (now Kantar Retail) prior, besides being new business director at Young and Rubicam for the EMEA region.

The move is expected to bolster the existing leadership at Promoseven 360 and also drive expansion into new areas of expertise, according to the agency. He will be based at the agency’s headquarters in Dubai.
Rajeev Budhiraja, CEO, Promoseven 360, said, “James is a well-travelled advertising executive who brings a new dimension to our business. His extensive digital media and shopper marketing experience will enable us to offer our clients broader and more integrated solutions to service the complete spectrum of their marketing needs.”

Welch added, “Promoseven 360 is an exciting agency to join since it’s well established in the market with a track record of providing integrated solutions for a portfolio of long-standing clients, including some outstanding digital work. Creatively this region is booming and so many clients are asking to see new data-driven creative solutions which we’re well placed to deliver.”
