MediaCom has appointed its first ever regional digital director for the MENA region.
Based in Dubai, Dan Chapman will report directly to CEO Nick Barron and joins from his previous role as regional digital director at UM. He forms part of Barron’s new leadership group for the region following his arrival in October last year.
Chapman’s primary focus will be integrating digital media across all offices in the region, which include Saudi Arabia, Beirut, Morocco, Tunisia and Dubai. He will also be accountable for building on Media-Com’s search, display, mobile and social products, as well as being a key member of the teams working with clients such as Etihad, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Shell.
“Dan’s appointment is a vital part of our development strategy here in MENA,” said Barron. “As the market evolves, it’s critical that we are at the vanguard of digital developments. I am very confident that Dan and his team will help us continue to grow and deliver great media for our clients.”
Chapman said: “With some very significant wins over the last six months and a portfolio of fantastic brands, it’s going to be incredibly exciting being part of the MediaCom MENA team.”
