The long-running pitch for Qatar Virgin Mobile Service’s (QVMS) advertising account came to an abrupt end recently following the shutting down of the mobile company’s operations. Qatar’s telco regulator, ictQatar, ordered Qtel – QVMS’ parent company – to shut down the mobile provider’s operations, saying there was no licence for a third telecommunications service provider.
According to this video on YouTube, agencies weren’t the only ones who were not amused.
